If you have heard of acupuncture, you should be familiar with Chinese medicine meridian. It is what acupuncture / meridian points stand on.
Chinese medicine meridian can be treated as invisible channel. These channels are well-connected with our internal organs. When there is problem with an organ, it would reflect to our skin where the specific meridian the organ belongs to.
Sometimes, we would have muscles pain. Generally, it is due to Chi (氣) does not run through smoothly in that organ meridian (channel) so we feel pain. If Chi (氣) runs well in the channel, we would not feel pain. Why Chi is blocked in an organ meridian (channel)? It could be weather, environment, stress, the food we eat, sleep etc. But please bear in mind that Chinese medicine believes that our body is a whole connected system, not just a stand-alone part. This is how difference between Chinese medicine and Western medicine. When one organ has problem, it could be causing from another organ and also it could affect another organ. Acupuncture can adjust Chi (氣) of whole body to harmony level.
If we feel pain and do not have an acupuncture doctor nearby, does it mean we can no cure at all? Basically, rubbing and tapping on acupuncture / meridian points by hand also help besides using a needle. What if we don’t know anything about Chinese medicine meridian? Don’t worry. Human body is very intelligent. We just rub on wherever part we feel pain. Rub and tap the painful part as well as the part nearby. It definitely would help to ease aches. Make Chi (氣) to pass through the stuck channel again. Then pain would be gone. Amazing, isn’t it?

Hands - lungs, large intestine, pericardium, triple warmer (means our trunk / body), heart and small intestine.
Foot – spleen, stomach, liver, gall bladder, kidney and bladder.
